(opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.what-is-the-trinity.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">What is the Trinity?<\/a><\/em> Recently, <strong><a aria-label=\"he's reviewed my debate book co-authored with Chris Date (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/randalrauser.com\/2020\/07\/is-jesus-human-and-not-divine-a-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\">he&#8217;s reviewed my debate book co-authored with Chris Date<\/a>.<\/strong> In this episode, I present and respond to his review, answering some of his questions, explaining a few of my own <strong>missteps<\/strong>, and ultimately hitting the tennis ball back to Dr. Rauser&#8217;s side of the court. Topics include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the story behind the somewhat<strong> awkward book title<\/strong> and debate resolution<\/li><li>what I said and what I <em>should <\/em>have said about <strong>Ignatius<\/strong><\/li><li>why I didn&#8217;t respond in the book to Date&#8217;s appeal to the writings of the second-century author <strong>Melito <\/strong>of Sardis<\/li><li>the<strong> &#8220;man&#8221; vs <em>a<\/em> man<\/strong> or human vs. human person issue for traditional catholic christologies<\/li><li>what Date is in <strong>denial <\/strong>about re: the early history of Christian theologies<\/li><li>why it is best to avoid the recent term &#8220;<strong>high christology<\/strong>&#8220;<\/li><li>why talk of <strong>&#8220;fully developed&#8221;<\/strong> Trinity or Incarnation doctrines is a distraction<\/li><li>Dr. Rauser&#8217;s and my reactions to the book&#8217;s Foreword by Dr. Timothy Pawl<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you read both the book and Dr. Rauser&#8217;s review, what did you agree with?
