What would we expect to see if they thought he was <strong>a god<\/strong> but not a man? And what would we expect to see in these book if the authors thought that Jesus was a &#8220;<strong>godman<\/strong>,&#8221; one of three &#8220;Persons&#8221; within the triune God?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The answers, when we compare them to what is actually in the New Testament, are most illuminating. And this extended argument <strong>can&#8217;t be accused of &#8220;assuming unitarianism.&#8221; <\/strong>Observations like these are part of why many are switching from a trinitarian to a unitarian understanding of New Testament theology and christology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because of my many slides, I recommend excellent <a aria-label=\"the video version (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ipicKW1Dp30\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"ek-link\"><strong>the video version<\/strong><\/a> of this new lecture from August 2021 in Antioch, Tennessee.
