Is this death a ransom? A victory? A penance? An example? Why is Jesus compared to a lamb, a scapegoat, or the &#8220;mercy seat&#8221; of the Ark of the Covenant?<\/p>\n<p>I also comment on<strong> Bach&#8217;s Christian faith<\/strong>, as expressed in this piece.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/6\/6a\/Johann_Sebastian_Bach.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After my talk, <strong>a sample of the glorious music<\/strong> heard that night by a packed house, commemorating this most important death.<\/p>\n<p>You can also listen to <a title=\"episode 37 on youtube\" href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/YaUGOfE4c1I\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>this episode on youtube<\/strong><\/a>.
