Tomorrow (Saturday, March 29) at 12:00 EST I’m debating Roman Catholic apologist William Albrecht on whether or not the important early Christian philosopher-theologian Tertullian (d. c. 225) was a trinitarian.
Mr. Albrecht is on the affirmative side; I’m on the negative side.
He should be well aware of what I’ll argue. I think Tertullian’s language is confusing (to us), and his theology is strange, but it turns out, on close examination, to be a kind of unitarian theology.
Or so I argue. You can tune in here . And towards the end of the debate, you can even call in a question. (1-347-934-03791-347-934-0379)

I’d like to congratulate Dale Tuggy for a superb delivery of exquisite academic prowess. It is clear that you are in a league of your own, Dale, and that your precision and coherence brought you to a point where you can present your case to crowds of PhD students and scholars and be found convincing. Your opponent can only claim the prize for shouting the loudest, so no one leaves empty-handed…
I shared this debate with a few South African theologians too. Your research deserves to be heard. Well done and congratulations on an obvious victory. You should do it more often.
Good luck, Dale!
